Position:
Since December of 1997 I have been working as an assistant professor in the Division of Geology and Mineral Waters of Institute of Mining on the Faculty of Mining (since 01.01.2004. Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology) at the Wrocław University of Technology.
Experience:
1. Courses and trainings:
National training course organized under the auspices of the Polish National Atomic Energy Agency and in cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency on application of tracing methods in hydrogeology and hydrology (1995).
Interregional Training Course on Isotope Applications for Analyses of Flow and Transport Dynamics in Hydrological Systems, which was organized by International Atomic Energy Agency and held in Vienna in September 1996.
2. The head and the main Performer in the Polish Government research projects:
The main performer in the project on radon-222 behaviour in the environment of the Sudety Mountains (1995 - 1997). This project was financed by the Ministry of Science.
The head of the project "Radon as a component of medicinal waters from health-resorts of the Sudety Mountains" (2000 - 2002). This project was financed by the Ministry of Science.
The head of the project "A study into the possibility of recognising new occurences of mineralised, specific and thermal waters in the area of Fore-Sudetic block" (2005 - 2007). This project has been ordered by the Ministry of Environment and financed by the National Fund for Environment Protection.
3. A performer in other Polish Government research projects:
"An attempt at describing areas supplying medicinal waters of infiltration origin in Poland based on isotopic research" (1994 - 1996). This project was commissioned by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and it covered over forty medicinal water aquifers in Poland. "Hydrogeological documentation of the Krynica medicinal waters deposit" (1997 - 1999). I was co-responsible for the hydrochemical, hydrological and geophysical parts of this project supported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Health and the National Fund for Environmental Protection. "Isotopic methods in documentation of groundwater resources - methodological manual" (2003 - 2006). This project has been ordered by the Ministry of Environment and is financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection. "Assessment of the problem of counteractions of low-mineralized and mineralised waters in the documentation and protection of medicinal and potentially medicinal water deposits" (2004 - 2006). This project has been ordered by the Ministry of Environment and is financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection. "Tolerable fluctuations of exploitation and physico-chemical parameters of medicinal waters - a directive" (2005 - 2006). This project has been ordered by the Ministry of Environment and is financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection. "Determining the amount of carbon dioxide in the soil air in the Sudetic Mts., in the areas of acidulous-water occurence" (2006 - 2007). This project has been ordered by the Ministry of Environment and is financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection.
4. Other Projects:
"The attempt at describing the supplying areas of medicinal waters of infiltration origin in Poland on the basis of isotopic research" (1996). This project was carried out on the commission of the Ministry of Environment Protection and it included over forty medicinal water aquifers in Poland.

I have taken part in many other minor projects connected with hydrogeology and I am a holder of the Polish Ministry Certificate on hydrogeology.

3. The use of some isotopic techniques (e.g. tritium, radon and radium) for environmental studies.
4. Hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, geophysics of radionuclides, geochemistry of radionuclides.
5. Mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry of meteorites.
6. Solar system origin, evolution and exploration.
My post-doctoral thesis are related to the radon behaviour in medicinal groundwaters of the Sudety Mountains.
